Let me begin by saying that this book is fun to read. The characters are interesting, the story is compelling, and the pace is terrific. I've done a lot of work in the area of personal transformation, and I found myself not knowing what was coming next and WANTING to know. It is rare that a book is both enjoyable and has great impact, but Miles Kierson has accomplished that feat with The Seven Provocations.I remember when The Celestine Prophecy was published, there was a big hub-bub about whether it was fiction or true. As it turned out, it was both fiction and "true", and that is the nature of this book, too. The underlying principles, the "provocations" are deeply powerful insights that people go their whole lives without discovering. Not discovering them is the source of suffering, broken relationships, and even war.The Seven Provocations has reopened an inquiry that is making my life richer, and I invite everyone to give themselves the gift of living in the questions that are provoked by this book. In fact, as I finished reading it, I thought to myself, "This should be required reading for everyone. If everyone read it and got what Mike Bukowski got - really absorbed the underpinnings of this book - it would transform our world into what we all want it to be."
