Etta got soul, Etta got heart & Etta got spirit. She was born to sing. She started out at fourteen, &, on the road. I put her with Aretha Franklin. They both started out singing in the church. They are both powerful from the spirit in their heart. They both have their own way of delivering their voice in their own style and way of singing. Aretha gets a lot of attention. But, let's not ignore Etta James. One must also give Etta her credit. She's not to be ignored. They are both versatile singers, and, both will be missed. When you listen to the music, you will be moved.
