While some of the content is overplayed, no doubt, and the acting may have been amateurish, this movie is VERY true-to-life. I have a family member who pastored a congregation that had built a new church; the contractor they hired wasn't the brother of one of the members, so the member vandalized the church on more than one occasion (causing serious damage) and harassed the pastor, until the pastor had to get a restraining order. This movie sends a serious message to all: we should not forget WHO is in charge of all churches--it's not the pastor or his family; it's not the church committees; it's not the church board or the trustees. It is God, and He can handle His own business. Whenever a human amasses too much power and thinks s/he can dictate God's business, s/he is treading on dangerous territory. (Remember Jonestown?) Not an entertaining movie, but certainly worth the watch.
