Received this book on May 5th, began the *plan* May 6th. I did not wait for a Monday.I had seen & read raves about the original plan (also ordered that book for reference) but instinctively knew that it wouldn't be something I could live with for the rest of my life. As I read about *this* one, however, it struck a chord. THIS was/*is* a plan I can follow for *life*, for my health!Being both menopausal & overweight, getting results from anything would be an uphill battle, I felt. Not true!!! This doc/nutritionist is committed to breaking the addiction to sugar(s). To my utter surprise, the plan is easy to follow & I have never felt deprived or hungry! Just knowing that there is *one* celebration MEAL included each week was & is a comfort. Anybody can do *any*thing for one day, so this whole plan makes sense. Each day builds on the one before it.I'm grateful that Dr.Dukan *followed up* on the results of his wildly successful original plan & realized it led to carb craving (if I understood correctly) & he set out to counteract that after *years* of tracking those things. This just gradually instills healthier options & choices, & the subtle changes lead to lifestyle changes!It's very empowering to measure yourself & see INCHES gone & to FEEL so much better. Hadn't realized quite how lousy I felt until I started this new way of life & noticed so much more energy.Do yourself a favor! You owe it to yourself to read this book & to determine if it's the right plan for you!
